Sony and Android 4.3/4.4
Sony Corporation, also known as Sony, is a Japanese consumer electronic company. Creator of the popular PlayStation gaming console series, it has also made a number of phones and tablets. Many of these devices run the Android open operating system by Google. Device owners will be happy to know that they will be getting an updated flavor of Android, soon. Read on to find out more.

Just one week after Google announced Android 4.4, Sony Mobile has revealed its upgrade plans concerning the operating system. As well, they will be providing the Android 4.3 update to some other devices.
Among the devices that will receive Android 4.3 include the Xperia T, Xperia TX, Xperia V, Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia Zr, Xperia Tablet Z, Xperia SP, Xperia Z Ultra, and the Xperia Z1. These devices will get the Android 4.3 update starting “from next month.” The Xperia T, Xperia TX and Xperia V will skip Android 4.2 and go from Android 4.1 to Android 4.3. The other devices mentioned will be making the upgrade from Android 4.2.
Now, Android 4.4 KitKat. Unfortunately, Sony hasn’t given a timeframe, but it has said that the Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia Tablet, Xperia Z Ultra and Xperia Z1 will get Android 4.4. These are the “first raft” of devices to get the updates, meaning they are the top priority. This does not mean other devices will not get the update, it just means that the above mentioned devices will likely get the update sooner.
Other manufacturers, such as HTC, have also rushed to bring the latest and greatest Android version to their devices.
